কম্পিউটার ৪টি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজ করে থাকে যেমনঃ। (১) সমস্যা সমাধানের উদ্দেশ্যে ব্যবহারকারী কর্তৃক তৈরি প্রোগ্রাম কম্পিউটার গ্রহণ করে মেমরিতে সংরক্ষণ করে এবং ব্যবহারকারীর নির্দেশে কম্পিউটার প্রোগ্রাম নির্বাহ করে। (২) ইনপুট ডিভাইস-এর মাধ্যমে ডাটা গ্রহণ করে। (৩) ডেটা প্রসেস করে এবং (৪)আউটপুট ডিভাইস-এর মাধ্যমে ফলাফল প্রকাশ করে। অন্যান্য সব ইলেক্ট্রনিক যন্ত্রের মতো কম্পিউটারের ও বৈশিষ্ট্য রয়েছে। কম্পিউটারের প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য হচ্ছে দুইটি যেমনঃ (১) এটি লক্ষ লক্ষ তথ্য সংরক্ষণ করতে পারে। (২) অত্যন্ত দ্রুত গতিতে ও নির্ভুলভাবে নির্দেশিত নির্দেশসমূহ পালন করতে পারে। বর্তমান যুগে প্রায় সব কিছুতেই কম্পিউটারের ব্যবহার রয়েছে। এমনকি কম্পিউটারের ব্যবহার এতো ব্যাপক যে এটি ছাড়া কোনো কাজ সম্পন্ন করা সম্ভব না। কম্পিউটার সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত জানার জন্য ডাউনলোড করে নিতে পারেন আমাদের এই অ্যাপসটি।
